Uhing®-linear drive nuts (linear actuators) are non-positive drives which convert the rotation of a plain round shaft into a traversing movement. This effect is achieved by using rolling rings that are mounted on roller bearings and have a specially shaped running surface. These rings are pressed against the shaft so that they roll on the surface of the shaft at a specific angle. Characterstics:
Wherever linear movements are required, the Uhing®-linear drive nuts are a state-of-the-art alternative to hydraulic and pneumatic actuators, chain feeding systems and lead screws.
Uhing Combines Rolling Ring technology with controller On the Intec in Leipzig and on the Hannover Fair, Uhing showcases product studies on the innovations for the RG Rolling Ring Drive and the RS Linear Drive Nut....[read more]
For more than 60 years, Joachim Uhing KG has been successful with linear drive technology, above all with the rolling ring drive invented by the company founder. In 1983, the RS linear drive nut was added to the product range, until now for shaft diameters from 10 to 60 millimetres. Due to frequent requests for smaller diameters, Uhing now launches the RS8 for a diameter of eight millimetres....[read more] One hundred thousandth Uhing drive nut leaves the factory
